You can reorder and manage the menu of the website by going to structure menus and main menu. There are two ways to reorder links on the menu. The first is to drag and drop. Each menu item has a small dot to the left of it. Hovering over this will allow you to click and drag items to reorder them on the menu. It is easy to make a mistake doing this but your changes are not saved until you click save configuration at the bottom of the form. If you make a mistake just click refresh without saving and the menu will reset. To access the second method, click "show row weights" in the top right of the menu. This will get rid of the click and drop interface and reveal numbered weights that can be altered to change the order of items within the menu. As with the drag and drop, no changes are made until this page is saved and if you make a mistake all you need to do is refresh. Sometimes large websites have too many menu items for this interface if you save and your changes are not reflected, this is likely the cause. In these cases edit each menu item individually by clicking the edit button to the right of that item. Here you can adjust the title of the item, its parent in the menu, and the weight of the item. Clicking save will make the adjustment on the menu. The primary landing pages such as news, people, and events can be nested under other menu items if you would like. However we ask that you not move these specific items on your own other than just reordering them in the existing place they are in the menu. Extension county offices should not move or add to the top level tabs within county office websites. These are meant to be consistent across the platform. If you would like to add a link to another website to your menu, use the add link button at the top of the menu. Give the menu link a title enter a url for the page and select a parent link as with when we worked with basic pages. Leaving the parent link on main menu will add the link as a top tab on your website or you can list it under another page within the website. Social media links appear in the right sidebar of your home page and then also in the footer of your website. To edit social media links go to structure and click menus this will reveal a listing of menus on the site. The main menu we just edited and the social media menu. Clicking "list links" next to social media will bring up the menu interface. This is the same interface that is used to adjust the links within the main menu of the website. Here you can add or delete links and also edit the existing links that are here. The system will use the url of each link to assign an icon for the link within the website. In the top right of the website template there is a link for "Give Today" by default this link goes to the general college fund. However, if there is a more appropriate fund for your program this link can be adjusted by going to structure and then give link. Extension County Websites use a special give now page which links to one or more funds these are managed by the extension communications administrator to add or remove funds reach out to them the give link on county websites should not be altered by content editors.
